Pete Lake Puzzle
Pete Lake Puzzle
Piece by piece, bring the beauty of Pete Lake in Kittitas County, Washington to life.
Tucked beyond Cooper Lake near Cle Elum, Pete Lake feels a little more rewarding because you have to hike in to reach it. You can’t simply drive right up to the shoreline, but the walk is absolutely worth it — especially when the lake opens up in front of you with that incredible mountain range in the distance.
One of the things I love most about Pete Lake is that the mountains you see here are the same dramatic peaks visible from Cooper Lake, just from a different perspective. It creates this wonderful connection between two of my favorite local places.
Depending on the time of year, the mosquitoes can be particularly determined, so I always recommend dressing accordingly, packing some bug spray, bringing lunch, and making a proper day of it.
Like every location in my collection, Pete Lake is somewhere I’ve personally experienced before bringing it home to draw. The original artwork was created by hand on my iPad using my Apple Pencil, with dozens of hours spent carefully building the mountains, forest, reflections, shoreline, and all the little details that make the scene feel true to place.
This 336-piece puzzle finishes at 12 × 18 inches, making it the perfect balance of relaxing and rewarding. It’s a wonderful activity for a cozy evening at home and a thoughtful gift for hikers, campers, Cle Elum locals, Washington adventurers, or anyone who has made the walk into Pete Lake themselves.
