Cooper Lake Puzzle
Cooper Lake Puzzle
Piece by piece, bring the beauty of Cooper Lake near Cle Elum, Washington to life.
Surrounded by dramatic mountain peaks, evergreen forest, and clear alpine water, Cooper Lake is one of my favorite local places to spend time. I especially love paddleboarding out toward the middle of the lake and stopping to take in the mountain range around me — the view from the water is absolutely beautiful.
Just one warning: I try very hard not to fall in. Cooper Lake always feels especially cold to me, thanks to the snowmelt and cold mountain water feeding the area. If I’m choosing somewhere for an actual swim, I’d much rather head to Lake Cle Elum or Lake Kachess.
This artwork is also especially meaningful to me because it is one of the original four drawings I created when I first started my business. Long before my collection grew to include ski resorts, National Parks, and destinations across the Pacific Northwest, Cooper Lake was one of the pieces that helped begin the whole journey.
Like every location in my collection, Cooper Lake is somewhere I’ve personally experienced before bringing it home to draw. The original artwork was created by hand on my iPad using my Apple Pencil, with hours spent building the mountains, trees, reflections, water, and small details that make the scene feel true to place.
This 336-piece puzzle finishes at 12 × 18 inches, making it the perfect balance of relaxing and rewarding. It’s a wonderful activity for a cozy evening at home and a thoughtful gift for Cooper Lake visitors, Cle Elum locals, paddlers, hikers, campers, and anyone who loves Washington’s mountain lakes.
